Hunter Classes

Warm-up Hunter

Open to all.  Each horse and rider combination may ride once in each warm-up class.  Warm-up cards will remain open throughout the day and will be set at the current class height. 

Entry Fee: $25.00; Add-back $10.00;

Prize Money: 1st-30%, 2nd-24%, 3rd-18%, 4th-12%, 5th-9%, 6th-7%

Fences: small-2’3”, medium-2’6”, large-2’9”.  Open to junior riders on ponies.  Judged on performance, manners and soundness.  Pony distances will be set for all distances under 72'.

Fences: 2’6”.  Open to horses in their first or second year of showing who have NEVER shown at 3’6” or higher at any show.  Judged on performance and soundness.

Centex Beginner Rider Hunter Division

Fences: 2’.  Open to beginner riders who have not won six blue ribbons over fences in Centex divisions prior to December 1, 2007.  Riders in this division may not cross enter into divisions with fences higher than 2’6” at this show and may not have ever shown at 3' or above.  Judged on performance with emphasis on manners and suitability.

Limit Rider Hunter Division

Fences: 2’6”.  Open to riders of all ages who have not won six blue ribbons over fences (equitation included) at any show (cross rails and Special Beginner not to count).  A limit entry is such from closing of entries.  Judged on performance with emphasis on manners and suitability.

Fences: 2’6”.   Open to non-professional junior and adult amateur riders. The same/horse/rider combination may not compete at the same show in classes with fences 3’ or higher. Judged on performance and soundness with emphasis on manners.

Centex Medal

Fences: 3’.  Open to all junior and adult amateur riders.  To be ridden over a course of at least eight fences with at least two changes of direction and an in-and-out. Optional work-off.

Class 72.  Centex Medal

Centex 2’6” Medal

Fences: 2’6”.  Open to non-professional riders not showing in classes with fence heights of 3’ or higher at this show. Riders must enter at least one other class at this show to be eligible.  Optional work-off may include USEF Tests 1-9.

Class 73.  Centex 2’6” Medal
