TEXAS
EQUINE LIABILITY ACT
WARNING:

EQUINE PROFESSIONAL IS NOT LIABLE FOR AN INJURY TO OR THE DEATH OF A
PARTICIPANT IN EQUINE ACTIVITIES RESULTING FROM THE INHERENT RISKS OF
EQUINE ACTIVITIES.
Centex
Points and Membership
All riders participating in Centex point classes must be members
in good standing of the Centex Hunter & Jumper Association (CTHJA)
or must join at the show. Centex
points will be awarded to all horses/riders participating in recognized
classes in accordance with Centex Rules and Regulations.
No points will be counted toward Centex Annual Awards until
memberships have been paid.
Entries
The entry fee is
$15.00 for each class, exception add-back hunters,
$25.00. Pre-registration requires NO money or obligation.
A $25.00 late fee will be charged to entries received
after 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday prior to the show.
Numbers
can be picked up in the horse show office once entry fees are paid (open
checks are preferred), entry
blanks are completed (including signatures), and proof of a
current Coggins has been presented
to Show Secretary (in accordance with State of Texas requirements).

Stabling
10'
x 10' box stalls are available for $65.00. Shavings may be purchased at
the show. No horse may remain on the grounds overnight without renting a
stall. Horses not using a stall will be assessed a $25.00 grounds fee.
Schooling
Schooling
will be available from 3:00pm until 8:00pm on Friday before the show and
until 30 minutes prior to show time.
Any horse schooling, but not showing will be charged a $25.00 schooling
fee.

Attire
Riders must be appropriately attired.
Riding coats are not required.
Hard hats must be worn at all times by all riders when mounted.
A polo shirt may be substituted for a riding shirt, however
T-shirts are not acceptable. All exhibitors must wear headgear in accordance
with U.S. Equestrian rule GR318.
Accommodations
A limited number of camper hook-ups will be available for
$35 per
night. Please call ahead to
reserve these spaces. There
are also several motels located on or near I-35 and are convenient to
the Exposition Center.
Changes
Management reserves the right to change, cancel or combine
classes, alter courses, restrict courtesy circles, and do all things
necessary or appropriate to compensate for excessive or inadequate
entries.
Scheduling
Riders who have conflicts because of classes in more than one
ring should see the paddock masters to make necessary adjustments.
TRAINER CONFLICTS are not adequate cause for holding either
ring.
Judge’s
Decisions are Final
All judge’s decisions are final.
Any act of discourtesy or disobedience to the judges, show
officials or employees, or fellow exhibitors on the part of an owner,
manager, rider, or groom shall disqualify the horse, and the owner shall
forfeit his entry and other fees.
Dogs
All dogs must be kept on leashes or confined in enclosures at all
times while on horse show grounds.
Dogs not leashed or confined will be picked up and confined
without notice and will be released only upon payment of $50.00 to the
show secretary.
Awards
A trophy and six ribbons will be awarded in all classes.
All Hunter and Jumper division Champion and Reserve Champion
titles will be awarded in accordance with current USA Equestrian. Jumper class ties will be decided by a jump-off for
first-place only. All other
places will be awarded by a coin toss.
Ties for Champion and Reserve Champion will remain tied.
Concessions
Concessions are available on the show grounds on show days.
